Huron Ridge Acres was founded by Dave & Carol Steckle in 1973, with 2000 sq.ft. of greenhouse, which has expanded to 70,000 sq.ft. and several acres of outdoor growing area for garden mum production.  Dave & Carol Steckle’s 3 children grew up helping in the greenhouse after school.  In 1991, Kevin, a Ridgetown College horticulture graduate, joined the business as a partner.     Kevin & his wife Lorraine are now the driving force at Huron Ridge with Dave & Carol enjoying a little slower pace.  In recent years their daughter Sandra has joined the management team.  Over time most of their grandchildren have also been a part of the Huron Ridge team at some point.
