Important Information

Ordering & Delivery

• Deliveries are available Monday to Friday, November 18 to December 11.

• Orders must be submitted at least two weeks before your requested delivery date or by November 20, whichever comes first.

• Changes or additions will not be accepted more than 48 hours after your order is submitted.

• All orders are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. We will do our best to fill your order as requested, but colour substitutions may be necessary when supplies are limited.

Payment & Delivery Fees

• Payment is due upon delivery. Your invoice will be emailed in advance.

• Please have your cheque ready when our driver arrives. E-transfers are also accepted before delivery.

• Delivery is charged at $0.50 per kilometre for the round trip from Huron Ridge Greenhouses (74101 Bronson Line, Zurich), with a minimum delivery fee of $30.

• Our maximum delivery distance is 150 km. Please contact us if you are unsure of your delivery fee.

Minimum Order

• Orders must have a minimum invoice value of $500 before taxes and delivery fees.

• Fundraising sales totals will vary depending on the products sold.

Product Availability

Our poinsettias begin growing in our greenhouses in July. While we do our best to estimate quantities for the season, availability cannot be guaranteed. Orders are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and colour substitutions may be required if supplies become limited.

Important Poinsettia Care & Transportation

Poinsettias are tropical plants and must be kept warm at all times. Please ensure everyone handling or selling poinsettias understands the importance of protecting them from the cold.

Poinsettias must be transported inside the vehicle, never in the trunk. On a cold day, a poinsettia can freeze in a trunk within minutes.

Winter Planter

• Pot size: 12 inches

• Greenery measures approximately 26 inches wide and 30 inches tall, measured from the floor to the top of the sticks.

Wreath

• Frame diameter: 12 inches

• Greenery extends approximately 2–3 inches beyond the frame on all sides.

Gift Cards

Gift cards will be issued according to the quantities ordered and must be redeemed in person at our garden centre.

One small recommendation: Consider keeping the Important Poinsettia Care & Transportation section bold and prominent on the page. It is an important instruction for fundraising groups to share with everyone handling or delivering the plants.

Profit margins on product averages 20-25% per item before shipping.
